During the month of October, the Maison de la Culture will host the 22nd edition of the Festival de la Gravure, an event organized since its inception by the local arts association La Palette.
This year’s edition brings together 54 artists from around the world, showcasing a total of 108 works devoted to the art of engraving.
The catalog cover, designed using the embossing technique, is the work of the Danish artist JESSING Mogens.
The Festival will also be joined by a special guest: the Villa Vauban – Musée d’Art de la Ville de Luxembourg and artist Julie WAGENER with the exhibition “The Things We Carry. A Look at What Shapes a Society,” which can be seen at the Al Kierch in Diekirch.
The exhibition offers a contemporary reinterpretation of a selection of engravings dating from the 15th to the 20th century, through the perspective of the artist Julie Wagener.
The opening will take place on October 10, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., accompanied by a musical performance from the Conservatoire du Nord.
