Panta Rhei – Spaces We (Do Not) Carry

The title of the exhibition Panta Rhei comes from the philosophy of Heraclitus, according to which everything is in a state of constant change. This concept of ‘everything flowing’ reflects the transience of the world and human experience, and the search for stability in instability. The exhibition explores how physical, emotional, social and historical spaces change over time. Using materials such as clay, metal and graphics that are subject to erosion and change, the exhibition asks questions about the transformation of matter and social structures. With installations that change in real time, it invites visitors to reflect on transformation, sustainability and the need for change in an ever-changing world.

The exhibition is an invitation to think about your own spaces – the spaces you carry with you and the spaces you leave behind.
