Since 1985, artist Editha Pröbstle has lived and worked in Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein and has exhibited her works in numerous shows both in Germany and abroad.
The exhibition “Wetterwendige Wunderlinge” offers the first comprehensive overview of the artist’s diverse body of work. It brings together works from different phases of her artistic career, highlighting her distinctive fusion of printmaking and sculpture. On display are colour woodcuts, bronze sculptures, the Klappraden® developed by the artist, as well as the latest works from the KuuLlus® series.
With the Klappraden®, Editha Pröbstle developed an art form in which viewers are actively drawn into the artistic experience through the works’ transformable structures.
The KuuLlus® represent the latest development in her artistic practice. These luminous objects, made of fiberglass, epoxy resin, and fragments of color woodcuts, combine sculptural form, light, and graphic structure to create unique artistic entities.
The exhibition “Wetterwendige Wunderlinge” will be on view from August 1 through 30 at the Kulturhaus in Diekirch. The opening reception is on July 31 at 6:30 p.m.
