The MH[s]D / The Maison de la Culture de Diekirch and Ville de Diekirch, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy, are pleased to invite the public to the exhibition “On a journey with Pimpa.”

Designed by the publishing house Franco Cosimo Panini, this exhibition is aimed at children and families and offers a special opportunity to (re)discover the famous character created by the artist Francesco Tullio Altan.

The exhibition provides a look into Pimpa’s world and her connection to the theme of travel, with a particular focus on Italy. It invites visitors of all ages to step into her colorful world — a universe that still retains all its charm today, where every journey becomes an adventure.

The opening will take place on May 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Maison de la Culture in Diekirch.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 9 – 31 May.

Alongside this initiative, children will be able to take part in the competition “On a journey with Pimpa: Draw Luxembourg!”

Participants are invited to draw Pimpa next to an iconic element of Luxembourg, such as a monument, a landscape, a culinary specialty, or any other expression of the local cultural heritage.

The competition is open to children aged 4 to 10, who can submit their creations at the museum MH[s]D  from May 8 to August 31, 2026.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place in October 2026.

The initiative aims to celebrate the friendship between Italy and Luxembourg and promote awareness of the character Pimpa.

Please consult the official document below for complete submission guidelines and further information.
